As a permanent supporting member of Futurelabs gGmbH Lauda, i.safe MOBILE is donating two fully equipped soldering stations to the creative and knowledge workshop.

From June 2024, interested schoolchildren aged twelve and over will be offered specialist advice on soldering as part of the open workshop. Johannes Weckesser (Senior Engineer R&D) and Julian Fries (Dual Student Bachelor of Engineering Innovation and Product Management) from i.safe MOBILE will regularly support the young people on site. Martin Haaf (CEO) and Johannes Weckesser (Senior Engineer R&D) from i.safe MOBILE were present during the equipping and installation of the workstations. They presented the donation to Dr Gunther Wobser (founder and honorary managing director) and Sophie Krimmer (managing director) of Futurelabs.

‘As a founding member and sponsor of Futurelabs, we are delighted to now also proactively support the open knowledge workshop with regular expert advice for the soldering workstations we donated,’ said Martin Haaf from i.safe MOBILE. ‘Here in the workshop, young people have the unique opportunity to realise digital, technical and creative ideas with professional support and to discover their talents and skills.’

‘By equipping the soldering stations and supporting them with technical expertise, we can offer young people a new, very important area. We are very grateful for the close cooperation with i.safe MOBILE,’ adds Managing Director Sophie Krimmer.

In the Futurelabs workshop in the centre of Lauda, young people from the age of twelve can try out creative, craft and digital areas with expert support, implement free projects, discover talents and skills and develop them further. As part of the so-called Digital Hub network (a project initiated and funded by the state of Baden-Württemberg), the Futurelabs in Lauda also serves as a contact point for medium-sized companies, helping them with their digital transformation and encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration. In this way, the companies involved as sponsors have the opportunity to offer young people interesting training and further education opportunities in the region, but also to support students and start-ups.

The Futurelabs workshop in Korngasse 2, Lauda-Königshofen is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 13:00 to 17:30. Young people aged twelve and over can drop in without prior appointment and without any previous knowledge.
