A barcode is a square or rectangular image consisting of a series of parallel bars of different widths that can be scanned with optical reading devices such as barcode readers (scanner, see also Trigger Handle IS-TH1.1) or cameras and then be processed electronically. Barcodes are used for identification purposes and are divided into 1D (classic barcodes) and 2D codes (QR codes).
