Christmas donation 2021
In its 10th anniversary year, i.safe MOBILE supports two social projects in the Tauberfranken region with a total of 10,000 euros with this year's Christmas donation.
The Christmas donation has been an integral part of i.safe MOBILE's comprehensive corporate social responsibility concept for years. This year i.safe MOBILE is donating 5,000 euros to the association “Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Caritas Krankenhauses Bad Mergentheim e. V.” and a further 5,000 euros to the initiative “Sprungbrett e. V.” in Bad Mergentheim.
During the cheque handover on 30 November 2021 at the company's headquarters in Lauda, the representatives of the two associations presented their charitable work to the i.safe MOBILE management and reported on the challenges that the Corona pandemic in particular had posed for volunteer work over the past two years.
The association of friends and supporters of the Caritas Hospital Bad Mergentheim e. V. was represented by the first chairperson, Sr. Maria-Regina Zohner and the managing director Helmut Wolf. The association with 155 members has been supporting the local hospital and its patients through membership fees and donations since 2007. In addition to the “last wish ambulance” initiative, the main focus of support is on the further expansion of music and art therapy services on the palliative care ward, the organisation of benefit concerts for patients, training and further education in the education centre and start-up financing for therapeutic riding for MS patients at Gut Üttingshof. Sr Maria-Regina Zohner was very pleased about the donation: "Especially during the Corona pandemic, when contacts had to be reduced to a minimum in the palliative care sector as well, it is particularly important to create positive experiences for the patients in their last phase of life. For our "last wish ambulance", which we support in cooperation with the German Red Cross, undesignated donations like this one are essential in order to be able to fulfil short-term and extraordinary wishes promptly."
The second cheque of the Christmas donation of 5,000 euros was presented to the first chairperson Dr. Sabine Kaplirz zu Sulewicz and her husband Uwe Kaplirz zu Sulewicz from the association Sprungbrett e. V. in Bad Mergentheim. This association was founded in 2000 by parents and teachers of the school in Taubertal and has set itself the goal of strengthening the rights of people with disabilities and advocating for an inclusive society. Through membership fees and donations, the association supports cultural, educational and leisure activities, including various sporting activities, through open assistance. In addition to the founding of an inclusive theatre club, the initiative focuses on therapeutic riding, which is promoted from recreational sport to para-performance sport. Sprungbrett e. V. cares for, relieves, advises and supports people with impairments and their relatives in everyday life. Supervisors, trainers and the board work purely on a voluntary basis. Dr. Sabine Kaplirz zu Sulewicz was particularly pleased about the split of the donation, as both associations successfully cooperate in various activities, e.g., in the use of the clinic clowns and therapeutic riding: "Thanks to donations like this, we can continue to pursue our goal, namely to promote inclusion and to offer people with impairments various opportunities for further development." Therapeutic riding in particular, which is not usually funded by health insurance companies, unfortunately never covers its costs and urgently needs financial support. "This particular form of therapy shows once again in practice how wonderfully inclusion can work and how much joy it brings to everyone involved."
Martin Haaf (CEO) and Dirk Amann (CTO) of i.safe MOBILE were very impressed by the work and activities of both initiatives and were pleased to be able to pass on some of the success that the company had again this year to the two charitable organisations as part of the donations.
The donation handover took place under 2G-Plus rules.
